- Currently Hiring a Patient Care Specialist at our Santa Ana, CA Specialty and Infusion Pharmacy. Full Time M-F, $22-$24/hr. Benefits include Paid Time Off, 401k, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Paid Training. - The Patient Care Specialist is responsible for providing customer services to patients referred to the pharmacy. - Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Routing patient referrals to the appropriate department or individual(s) in the pharmacy; Communicating necessary patient information to schedule services; Preparing and securing Medical Necessity documents; Establishing and maintaining patient records; Communicating with Intake Specialists to ensure proper billing to insurance companies, contracts, other third party payers and patients for all products and services delivered; Determining correct resolution to patient complaints; taking corrective action and monitoring results; Maintaining accurate billing records; Scheduling refills for patients through calls or SMS using the pharmacy management system and Salesforce; Obtaining refill requests when appropriate; Preparing labels for the pharmacy technician to fill; Assisting pharmacist with filling prescriptions (if Tech certified); Representing the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients; Assisting with the resolution of patient complaints and concerns in a professional manner; Documenting and reporting patient concerns and complaints to the PIC. - Minimum Qualifications include: Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records; Ability to evaluate options and make efficient decisions; Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets, use of the internet, and email; High School Diploma or equivalent. ****Preferred Qualifications: Pharmacy Technician license*** - Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions in this job description: 1.
